MY DAY ONE POST:

I apologize that the lighting was not good here.  This layout is on a really soft baby blue.  This is my Grumpette or Grumpy for short.  She was the only cat I knew that could growl and purr at the same time.  I say "was" because in 2010 at the age of 16 I had to say goodbye to my friend.  Devastating to say the least and I cannot think about her even today without tearing up and just sighing at my loss.

My home burned in 1994 and I lost three cats.  Again a devastating turn of events.  It took months to get the house back together but as soon as I moved back in I was searching for a cat.  Not to replace the others but to help fill the void.  While shopping at a barn sale I saw a litter of kittens and there she was. Very distant in her approach, careful to not show any emotion or attachment but something drew me to her.  Home she came whether she liked it or not and when she saw my three dogs she was NOT impressed!  LOL

Please stop back tomorrow so see another layout of my cherished and sadly missed friend.  I will tell you more about her Catitude then..thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to your comments tomorrow.

Now, hop on over toYvette L. http://gammascreativecorner.blogspot.com/ and see the beautiful creations she has made for the hop.  Please be sure to stop by tomorrow and hop along with us again to see more crafty creations.  Remember, to adopt/rescue a little furry feline friend.

Grumpy is adorable. It isn't easy having to put your babies down - I too have days that i just miss Key Key so much, the way he used to hug me back when I picked him up to give him a squeeze, the way he would start purring the moment you stepped into the room - the house became so so quiet..but we were blessed to have them in our lives :)

What a pretty cat and great layout of Grumpette. No matter how many cats come into my life, I always miss the ones that are gone.

Love the layout, great color combo. Its so hard when they grow old, and you must say goodbye, I couldnt imagine losing my furkids (Tagger Kitty and Fox Collie) in such a tragic way. And understand needing to fill a void once they are gone, and you begin to heal. Thank you for sharing.

It's amazing how God works! He works in his time, and I'm not a patient person, and I'm not praying for them because I've done that before :O) It seems people who love the Lord go through a lot in their lives, but after you get through it, you are stronger and your faith is stronger. He knows how to strengthen us! I know how you feel to lose a beloved pet, and I miss her still and it's been several years! After reading your story about your husband. I remember when they told my Mom she has breast cancer, she went to her bedroom for days, and she gave up, but because of God's people, friends and loved ones, she made it through and lived 30 year cancer free. Just the word devastated her. I don't know how people get through life without God, because I call on him daily and talk to him and knows he there for me! I'm thankful for parents who taught me about our wonderful God. Anywho, I love your layouts! Thanks for sharing! Hugs! Leah Ann
