For the hop today, I've created .......

I think everyone at one time or another has heard this version of "On Top of Spaghetti".  And I am sure that somewhere in your stash of pictures you have a toddler tearing into a bowl of it!!  LOL  This is my oldest gson, Nolan when he was quite a bit younger having a hay day with his bowl of "Bisketti"!  This hop gave me the perfect opportunity to get these pictures done as well as the next layout you are about to see.

LOL!  This is my Eli-boy, gson number 2, four months younger than his cousin Nolan. I absolutely love these pictures and am waiting for my son to send me pics of Nolan's younger brother Everett, age 2 so I can do a page for him as well.  I did the same layout as you can see but reversed it and used the different color schemes.  If you are not familiar with the song here are the words:

On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese
I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed!

It rolled off the table
And on to the floor
And then my poor meatball
It rolled out the door!

It rolled in the garden,
And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,
Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty
As tasty could be,
And then the next summer,
It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered,
All covered with moss,
And on it grew meatballs,
And tomato sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
Hold on to your meatball,
Whenever you sneeze.

The last three verses are not on the layout because when you are old you forget!  LOL But I wanted you to have all of the verses here for this fun song..

For the hop today, I've created .......

I have saved a space for journaling on this layout because I absolutely cannot put into words what my thoughts are. Maybe some of you can help me. When I look at this layout my thoughts are automatically transported to "The Wizard of Oz" where Dorothy opens that door and what was becomes something special because color is introduced.. It's as if once the wedding was over and newness became evident and what was ordinary, represented by the black and white, had become special indicated by the color. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, the journaling will come one day and I will be able to put this baby to rest..

Now if you would be so kind as to leave me a quick comment I would love to hear all you have to say. I will be giving away some blog candy to someone chosen by Random.org from among those who commented . Not exactly sure yet what I am going to put together but it will be fun and worth the wait to find out.

Thank you again for checking out my project... Now follow the links below and remember to visit all the stops for MAXIMUM ideas and LOTS OF FUN!!

Your next stop is Amy V.. Just wait until you see what she has designed for you!!

"It's All About LOVE" Blog Hop!!

LOVE Blog Hop

For the hop today, I've created .......

Jim and I re-met in 1969 at my cousin's home in Cincinnati.  I had gone there for the summer between my Junior and Senior year of high school. The picture from 1970 is my graduation picture, May 31st and we got married June 5th!  I was 17 and everyone thought because I moved to Cincinnati that I must have had to get married because I was pregnant!  Fact of the matter is that it took me nearly 11 years to get my son and that was only after we moved back to Springfield and the people we bought our home from told us about an infertility specialist..  The 1971 picture is our 1st anniversary and the small framed picture is just from 1973.  Then the final larger picture was when we went to Nashville, Indiana for our anniversary in 2007.  You can see that each of us lost that youthful figure but we still like to KISS!  LOL

This is a layout I did of my son's wedding.  It was a gorgeous day and when the sun started to set it turned the sky such a gorgeous shade of orange. I was so proud of him and he has turned out to be such a great husband and father..It really doesn't have alot of glitz or bling or layers but I wanted the wedding to be the focus not the "stuff".

I have shared this layout once before but with the theme of this hop being love I felt that I really needed to share it again.  If you just look at my son's face as he looks into the face of his first born and also a son, there really are no words to do this picture justice. I don't know if you can enlarge this picture big enough to read the journaling but it is a Father's Prayer and it just says it all.

Well, that is my contribution to this hop.  I am not a crafter so much as I love to scrapbook.  I love to see all the crafts everyone makes and sometimes I feel like I let viewers down by not having one myself but it sure is fun to share my family and pictures with you all.

Now if you would be so kind as to leave me a quick comment I would love to hear all you have to say.  I will be giving away some blog candy to someone chosen by Random.org from among those who commented .
